As you may have seen if you have read each suit, the court cards are also there, but for quick reference I have included this page. Unlike other card systems except for Ana Cortez playing card oracle (which was a concept I adapted to mine) the 10′s are used as the daughters of the suit. As Ana had said, everything in nature must have balance. Mother, father, son and daughter. Although some may also use the Jacks as the female, you just don’t really get that feeling from it really do you?, they are male faces. And the male has always been dominant throughout history, so well we are coming into the feminine aspect again, and the female element is not to be disregarded or discarded anymore!
The other thing is that it also adds, 4 other characters, and sometimes the 10′s eventhough it is female, can sometimes represent a young male, in which I discovered the other day, by a daily reading.
Tens – The Young ladies
10 of diamond- Young Lady of Diamonds (Maia)The 10′s in my system are the start of the court cards, and to bring balance to the courts it needs a daughter, and a sister to the jacks. Therefore this card is what i have named “Maia” I came up with this name from a friend of mine who’s daughter is very much the energy of this card. Maia represents a young female who is intense, demanding, spoilt, she is wilful and can be deviant. Although she maybe a handful to her parents in younger years, she may need it later on in life to face the challenges that she will encounter.
10 of diamonds is the 10th week of Autumn (spring) it is also the transitional card into the sign of Gemini. it governs the week 23 may to 29 may.
10 of hearts -Lady Leona this is the hearts daughter, Leona is a young female who is affectionate, follows her heart, she is one who is likely to bring home a stray animal or friend. She is naieve and very trusting, so therefore can be foolish. She is receptive to those around her, and will feel sorry for someone who is upset, she is the pacifier. This card was named and chosen for my daughter who shows these qualities.
10 of hearts is the 10th week of winter (summer) and governs the week 22 August to 28 August, it is also the transitional card into the zodiac of virgo.
10 of Clubs – lady Indira – Indira, is typical of a club energy is light and breezy, she is easy going, light hearted, very versatile, and like her brother she also is talented, and versatile in many ways. She is someone who is unpredictable, no one really know her true nature, she is like a chameleon. She believes in magic and fairies. Underneath her exterior she can be whatever she wants to be, if she believes in herself enough
10 of clubs is the 10th week of Spring (Autumn) and governs the week 21 November to 27 November. It is also the transitional card into the new sign of Sagitarius.
10 of spades - Lady karmel here we have the earth lady, Karmel is connected to earth, she is the meeker characters out of the 16 character traits. She is usually the obedient child, disciplined by her disciplinarian parents, the king and queen of spades. She can be some what subservient. She is modest. She is observant and takes in alot, her feelings and thoughts run deep. Although she maybe quiet, don’t be fooled into thinking that she doesn’t know anything. She knows more than you think. She likes structure.

The Jacks
Jack of diamonds - Kane - I named this jack Kane as he reminded me of a young man who fits the description of this jack. Kane is flambuoyant, he is one who wants to be centre of attention, he is a show off, with a huge ego, only interested in his own needs. He is the one most likely to be on stage as a rockstar, actor type character. His energy is settled, so can take awhile to become mature into his father the king. What you see is what you get with this Jack, as he shows his full face to you.Quick to temper. Can have insecurities and control issues.

Jack of hearts – Les-hayre the heart son Le-hare is the emotional jack, on a good day he is very romantic, he has all the charms. But his face is only showing one side of him, so deep down there is a secretive side to him, when his emotions are not in check, he can be someone who is jeolous and posessive in a relationship, he can turn fierce, be spiteful and betray the one he loves, but he feels threatened. Underneath it all, he is insecure, but once he has his emotions in check a very loving individual. A typical Scorpion trait.

jack of clubs – Jermonie – This is a special young man, as he like his sister is multi-talented, spiritual and can be a jack of all trades, he doesn’t take life seriously, and has alot of humor. Although he has a natural talents, he may not try as hard as other kids to perfect his skill, and can quite easily forget about what it is for whatever he wants to do. He can become bored, and try his hand at something else. It is only in later years that he may settle down to do his passion. I had named this card after one of my sons

Jack of Spades – Corren this jack is the reliable and predictable lad, who takes responsibility seriously. Like his sister he is also obedient and follows the rules of his parents. Although alot more expectation is placed on this jack, therefore he is given alot more freedom. He does follow his own path, and eventually will become a leader. He comes across mature for his age, when he is balanced. This was named after my eldest son.

The Queens
Queen of Diamonds – Rachel is the values queen. She reminded me of a very good friend. This queen is very honest, has high values, she has learnt the lessons of her younger years, and has managed to tame down. She is knowledgable as in has a inner knowing due to her experiences. Even though she is quiet now, she will not be slow to come to the defence of those that she loves, particularly her children. She needs her security, behind that tough exterior that they sometimes portray. She appears to be a free spirit and independent (which she needs), but underneath it all, she needs to have the security of a partner and family.
Queen of hearts – Tara this is the lovely queen, she is very intuitive, she is one who people come to see for comfort and advice. she is a sucker for a sad story. She is empathetic and is understanding of the needs of others. Although in her younger years, she may have been naieve and trusting, but now she has a sense for ones trying to take advantage of her, as she has had many takers from her in her younger years. Now she won’t take fools likely, and can diplomatically or politely tell them so without hurting their feelings.

Queen of clubs – Laveena – is the visionary queen, she formulates a plan in her mind, going through mental processes from the knowledge and experiences that she has learnt along the way, like her children in her younger years, it took her a long time to come to her true passion. She is structured, efficient and organised. She loves to read and write. And eventually her own unique method will emerge into creation. She has a active and busy mind. She is very sociable, and can mix with most people.
Queen of Spades – Dinja - this queen has been given alot of flack over the years, the dark queen, It is also the traditional card of the Widow. It can portray a woman who is lonely. If this queen is someone who has had an unfulfilled life, she can be ruthless and unemotional. She doesn’t like to show her emotions, her emotions only come out when she has an outburst. As a balanced queen, she is very powerful, and doesn’t suffer fools, she is direct and straight, her words can be cutting, but she is honest. She has her own path and usually with a purpose. She usually sits in top managerial positions, or she works alone. A wealth of knowledge and experience. She was named after an employer I worked for years ago.

The Kings
King of Diamonds – Denee – this character reminded me of a teacher that I had met years ago, he was one who is very vibrant, storng, he is certainly not one, to sit in the background, he has drive, and will persue all that he wants. He he is brilliant, and can weild alot of power when he directs it in the right way. He can have a high libido, and admires woman. His face only shows that on one side, and his private side he will only reserve for those very close and trusted. He has learnt from the hurts from his younger years, when he became to open and people used it against him. Usually insecure, even though he shows no sign of it.
king of diamonds is the last week of Autumn (spring) and Governs the week of 13 June to 19 June.
King of hearts – Christos this one is the soft king, he is the one that woman who are more stubborn and forward can direct this king at their mercy. He is the father who doesn’t like to dish out the discipline to his kids, as he wants to be the good guy. He is the general good guy, he will put up alot of his demanding queen. He can have a unfulfilled life, and work for his family, as they all will ask of him, and he will be happy to do it and give it even though it may break his back to do it. Like his son, if he is too unhappy he can stray if pushed to it.

King of clubs – Phillipe is the studious king, he is noble, intellectual and very knowledgable, he is the king that people go to for advice. He is likely one that will study for years, and is always searching for knowledge. Scientists, lawyers, psychologist can come under this card. So whatever venture that he puts his mind to, he will persue it. He can come fanatical in this quest, and will want everyone to know about. It took me a while to figure out who this king reminded me of, in my personal life, so the only other person I could think of who described some of this character was Dr Phil, so Phillipe came into being.
king of clubs is the last week of Spring and governs the week 12 December to 18 December.
King of Spades – General I named this card the General after my Spiritual Guardian and my father who fits this character very well, Everyone knows the king of spades in a group. He commands, authority and respect, he is the one issuing orders to his subordinates. this king is usually found in the military, police force, law, any place where they demand a leader. He is quick witted and sharp. He can also represent a widower, or a loner who enjoys his solitude. He is protective by nature. But he can also be ruthless, and a strict disciplinarian. Interesting is that I have had king of spade characters around me all of my life. So it is a character I know very well.
