As you will know that in each deck of cards, the manufacturers also place 2 jokers in the deck. A red joker and a black joker. These are really the mystery cards, and always are they discarded. As there are 52 cards, representing the 52 weeks of the year, there also must be the Sun that these cards travel around. It would not be complete without the Sun and the Moon. There must always be a balance, a musculine and a feminine, spiritual and physical (Black/red). It was only until now, that I realised that these cards are also very important to this divination system. And the Jokers as a whole in the deck.
Red Joker represents the Spiritual or significant, it is fate stepping in to lend a helping hand. Divine intervention. When this card appears, the card it sits next to is emphasised as being something or someone very significant to the querent. It is also the card of Spiritual matters. So it has a spiritual connotation to it. It is also the Sun (source) When going through I realised that I didn’t have a card to represent an “animal” after losing my dog a few weeks ago, I realised how important, and unconditionally loving these creatures are. So for this reason, I have also assigned “animal” to this joker. Although it maybe hard to pick when to interpret the “Joker” as an animal. So when using it for a key card as an animal, then that is probably when I would use it.
It is the lone day to represent 20th March in my system
Black Joker this is the spirit of the one on the journey throughout the cards, therefore it represents you the Querent. Its like the red joker contains all the elements, just as you the querent contains all the elements. It is like the fool in tarot. So when querent comes up in the spread, you will know it is directly connected to you. I have recently seen another court card come up beside it, so this is an indication as to what character the querent is portraying. The Queen of clubs came up beside it, and funny enough that is the card I had assigned to myself as my base character, this queen is Laveena, and that is my middle name!
This card is also the moon.
No day or week has been assigned to it.
