Spade Suit

The spades is the earth element, therefore it deals with the physical world, it is the heavy issues, the mundane and routine matters, work and daily habits.

Ace of Spades – have you ever wondered why the ace of spades has the big elaborate design on it? According to Richmond Olney, the Ace of spade is the symbol of the “Order of the Magi” it is the secret organisation, that holds all the knowledge. It is the society of old. In this modern day, my ace of spades represents authorities, organisations, institutes, Government, prisons and hospital. So whatever card is with the Ace of spade, it will give you an indication as to what kind of institute you could be dealing with.

Ace of spades is the start of Summer (winter) and in the sign of Capricorn. It governs the week of 19 December to 25 December.

2 of spades 2′s usually deal with another, so with this card, we have an opposing issue, between the 2 spades. We have a disagreement, as both parties can be set in there way, or stubborn in their opinions, so learning to compromise is the lesson of this card. It can also represent doubt, 2 opposing opinions going on in one’s mind.

2 of spades is the 2nd week of Summer (winter) and governs the week 26 december to 1 january

3 of spades is the “wild card” I called this the wild card, because when I was assigning meanings to each of the cards, this card was the card that was left over, and do you think I could think of anything for it? So it became the unexpected card, it’s those events that will throw you a hardball out of nowhere, you don’t see it coming and it will sock you between the eyes before you even know it. Someone may also do something out of character, or he may appear out of no where. There’s alot more to this card, which I have still yet to experiment.

3 of spades is the 3rd week of Summer and governs the week 2 January to 8 January.

4 of spades because the spade represents the body, we need a card to represent the physical health of the body. So this card is the health or body card. What this card is next to, will indicate the health state of the mind or body. This card is a key card if wanting to know about health issues.

4 of spades is the 4th week of Summer and it governs the week 9 January to 15 January

5 of spades -Like all the 5′s it is a scattered number. This card, represents, choices, as they are in middle trying to decide what direction to go in. This is also a card of multiples, so there could be a few things coming or to look at. It is the card of options. It is also the fugitive card, so running or avoiding a situation. It could be separation in a relationship.

7 of spades 7 being also the challenge card, this is one of those challenges, of all those earthly and heavy issues that life likes to dish out. So this is that heavy burden to bear. it represents all kinds of pain, emotional, physical and mental anguish. Worries, guilt and regret are all those negative mental emotions that comes under this card.

8 of spades is the 8th week of Summer and it governs the week 6 February to 12 February.

9 of spades well as the 9′s are about completions and endings, we have the card that also represents an Ending. So whatever it is next to it’s all over rover. Whether it’s something good or bad. The good thing about endings is that there is always a new start, so it can be a transformative process. Of course “Death” can come under this card, although not to assume that someone is going to die when it shows up, there would have to be other cards to show up next to it to represent death. It can represent a person who has nothing, who is depressed, a dark shadow around them. Only thing left to do is to surrender.

9 of spades is the 9th week of Summer (winter) it governs the week of 13 February to 19 February.

10 of spades Lady karmel here we have the earth lady, Karmel is connected to earth, she is the meeker characters out of the 16 character traits. She is usually the obedient child, disciplined by her disciplinarian parents, the king and queen of spades. She can be some what subservient. She is modest. She is observant and takes in alot, her feelings and thoughts run deep. Although she maybe quiet, don’t be fooled into thinking that she doesn’t know anything. She knows more than you think. She likes structure.

Jack of Spades – Corren this jack is the reliable and predictable lad, who takes responsibility seriously. Like his sister he is also obedient and follows the rules of his parents. Although alot more expectation is placed on this jack, therefore he is given alot more freedom. He does follow his own path, and eventually will become a leader.

Queen of Spades – Dinja - this queen has been given alot of flack over the years, the dark queen. It is also the traditional card of the Widow. It can portray a woman who is lonely. If this queen is someone who has had an unfulfilled life, she can be ruthless and unemotional. She doesn’t like to show her emotions, her emotions only come out when she has an outburst. As a balanced queen, she is very powerful, and doesn’t suffer fools, she is direct and straight, her words can be cutting, but she is honest. She has her own path and usually with a purpose. She  usually sits in top managerial positions, or she works alone. A wealth of knowledge and experience.

queen of spades is the 12th week of Summer and governs the week 6 March 12 march

King of Spades – General I named this card the General after my Spiritual Guardian and my father who fits this character very well,  Everyone knows the king of spades in a group. He commands, authority and respect, he is the one issuing orders to his subordinates. this king is usually found in the military, police force, law, any place where they demand a leader. He is quick witted and sharp. He can also represent a widower, or a loner who enjoys his solitude. He is protective by nature. But he can also be ruthless, and a strict disciplinarians. Interesting is that I have had king of spade characters around me all of my life. So it is a character I know very well.

king of spades is the last week of Summer and Pisces and Governs the week 13 March to 19 March.

There is one day that is left out, and that is the 20th of March. This card is Governed by the Joker. Just as there are 364 pips added throughout the whole deck to represent each day. There is still 1 more to make up for that 1 1/4 day, which is Governed by the Joker. In my system it happens to be the 20th of March, what the significance of this day is, has not yet emerged. Perhaps it is the last day of when the Sun moves into the new start of the zodiac for the next current year, also the last day of the last year of the platonic year or the precessional cycle.
